Tour ItineraryOur representative will pick you up from your hotel anywhere in Jaipur and take you towards Agra, a 210-kilometer journey that takes about 3 hours.
Visit and explore Chand Baori Stepwell with a local tourist guide. Chand Baori is a stepwell built more than a thousand years ago in Abhaneri village in Rajasthan. This is not only one of the largest stepwells in the world but also one of the most beautiful. Chand Baori is a hidden secret of India, as it is not an easy place to find.Chand Baori is a four-sided deep well with a large temple at the back of the building. It consists of 3,500 narrow steps spread over 13 floors. Extending about 30 meters (100 feet) into the ground, it is one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India.
After visiting Chand Baori, visit Fatehpur Sikri after lunch. Fatehpur Sikri is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, only 37 km from Agra. It was the capital of the Mughal Empire in India from 1571 to 1585. Fatehpur Sikri was built by the third Mughal emperor, Akbar, who also founded the neighboring city of Agra.
Fatehpur Sikri's architecture is a unique combination of Hindu and Muslim styles. The city is home to some of the most famous monuments of the Mughal period, such as Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, and Salim Chishti Mausoleum. Fatehpur Sikri is also home to a bustling market where locals sell traditional goods, jewelry, and food.
A visit to Fatehpur Sikri is a must for any visitor to India. Visitors can explore the city's monuments and buildings, learn about its history, or simply take in the sights and sounds of this once-great city. A tour of Fatehpur Sikri usually begins with a visit to the Diwan-i-Aam and Diwan-i-Khas, two large halls used by the Mughal Emperor Akbar for religious and political receptions. Buland Darwaza, or 'Gate of Victory', is another impressive structure built to commemorate Akbar's victory over the kingdom of Gujarat. Visitors can also explore Jama Masjid, a large mosque; PanchMahal, a five-story palace; and the mausoleum of Salim Chishti, a revered Sufi saint.
